Two Girls One Base vs. Hot Box

Being shorthanded with only 9 players, Two Girls One Base managed to stay close to Hot Box, who took an early lead 3-1.  Mike Rosenberg kicked a Home Run to tie it up 3-3 in the 3rd.  Going into the 5th inning, Hot Box went ahead 5-3.  Two Girls scored two runs right off the bat in the bottom of the 5th and had the winning run on 3rd with no outs.  Katie Payne kicked an infield pop-up that drove in the winning run to beat Hot Box 6-5.  MVP of the game goes to Mike Rosenberg who played a part in every run, with 4 RBI's and 2 runs scored.

Ace of Base vs. Greenorrhea

To the relief of their future Kickball partners, the members of Ace of Base are happy to announce that they overcame a longstanding & reoccurring bout with Greenorrhea (the origins of which are rumored to have started in the 90's during a trip to TJ).  The highlight of the game was when they witnessed one of Kickball's most thrilling events... a girl catching a high fly ball (congrats Lindsey!).  Several members (Lenny, Lindsey, Brad, Dan) & a tall red-headed girl named Annie celebrated by combining the merits of flipcup with the challenge of CrossFit (tm) into "Extreme Full-Contact Flipcup" (for a diagram & rules see page D4)... only one injury was sustained (but luckily Lenny was already wearing a brace on that knee).  Not interested in burning off any of the calories they were happily ingesting, Ameetess, Rob, Nick, Grant, Lauren and an underaged Aussie (she said she was 20…but this remains unverified) entertained themselves by being the worst people to ever play quarters. Members Johnny & Aaron were present but remained sober and made no significant contributions.
